Summer Windissimo 2026
Woodwind orchestra
Summer Windissimo is a two-day orchestral workshop for woodwind players of all ages and levels. The workshop is open to flutists, oboists, clarinetists, saxophonists, and bassoonists who would like to experience intensive ensemble playing in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere.
Participants will rehearse and perform in a large woodwind orchestra, take part in sectional rehearsals, and work on a diverse repertoire including classical, film, and popular music. The program also includes accompanying activities and a final gala concert in the center of Prague. Sheet music materials and practice recordings for home preparation are included.
The workshop will take place on August 24–25, 2026 in Prague at KC Unitaria.
Conditions
The workshop is open to flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, and bassoon players of all ages and skill levels. Participants should have basic experience playing their instrument; previous orchestral experience is not required — you will gain that experience during the workshop itself.
Participants under 18 may attend with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Workshop capacity is limited.
Organization, programm
The workshop is organized as an intensive program of orchestral and sectional rehearsals led by experienced faculty members. Participants will receive sheet music materials and practice recordings in advance to prepare at home before the workshop begins. The program takes place over two days and culminates in a public final concert in the center of Prague. The workshop also offers opportunities to meet fellow musicians, enjoy collaborative music-making, and share experiences in a friendly atmosphere.
